Dayzy Terms of Use
Updated 2026-11-01
Dayzy is published by Swing Labs Group Pty Ltd. Support and privacy contact: contact@dayzy-app.com.
Agreement
These terms apply when you download or use Dayzy in Australia. Please read them with the Privacy Policy. You accept them when you confirm your age and tick the acceptance box in the app. If you do not agree, do not use Dayzy.
You must be 18 or older
Dayzy is only for people aged 18 and over. When you start, the app asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older. On the App Store, Dayzy is rated 18+. If you are under 18, do not use Dayzy or buy a subscription. Giving a false age breaches these terms. If someone under 18 has subscribed, a parent or guardian can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com and contact us; we will help and will delete any personal information we hold about them.
What Dayzy does
Dayzy turns the income and regular bills you enter into a daily spending figure. You record expenses yourself and can organise savings pots and trips. Dayzy does not connect to banks, hold money, move money or ask for online-banking credentials. Its figures are estimates based on what you enter. They are not bank balances or guaranteed savings. Dayzy provides general budgeting information. It does not recommend any financial product and is not financial, investment, credit, tax or legal advice. Check important decisions against your actual accounts.
Your data and backups
Your budget is stored on your device, not on a Dayzy server, and there is no Dayzy account. If your device is lost, reset or replaced, or you remove the app, your budget can be lost unless you have exported a backup. Backups are protected by a password you choose. We cannot recover that password or your data. Local profiles and household codes only work between profiles on the same device.
Subscription and free trial
Using Dayzy’s budgeting features requires an active auto-renewing subscription, purchased through the App Store or Google Play. In Australia the prices are A$6.99 per month or A$49.99 per year, including GST. The store shows the price that applies to you before you confirm. If a free trial is offered to eligible new subscribers, the store shows its length before you confirm. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before a trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged the price you selected. The subscription then renews automatically for the same period and is charged to your store account unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If the price changes, the store tells you in advance and asks for your consent where required. Exporting and restoring your data does not require a subscription.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app, a profile or your budget does not cancel a subscription. Restore Purchases reconnects an existing subscription on a new device with the same store account.
Refunds and your consumer rights
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service. Payments are processed by the store, so you can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google Play for purchases made there. You can also contact us directly. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Using Dayzy
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Dayzy on devices you own or control, for your own budgeting. Do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it, and do not use it to break the law or interfere with its security. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, for example by trying to get around the subscription or the app’s security. Where we can lawfully do so, we will tell you why. Swing Labs Group Pty Ltd and its licensors keep all rights in the software and its design. Your entries remain yours. For apps downloaded from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if it conflicts with these terms on the licence itself, Apple’s agreement prevails.
Our responsibility
We take reasonable care to keep Dayzy accurate and secure, but its figures depend on what you enter, and exchange rates come from an external public source that can be delayed. To the extent permitted by law, and except for liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for loss caused by incomplete or incorrect information you enter, by a reminder that is not delivered because of your device settings or operating system, by the loss of data you did not back up, by events outside our reasonable control such as outages of the App Store or an exchange-rate service, or for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Reminders depend on your permission, your device settings and the operating system, and may not always arrive, so check important payments against your bank and bills. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for our own negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct.
Changes to Dayzy and to these terms
We may improve or change Dayzy over time. If we change these terms, we will show the new version in the app and on our website before it takes effect, and at least 30 days before a material change applies. If a change is significantly to your detriment, you can cancel your subscription before it applies and ask for a refund of any unused period. If we ever stop offering Dayzy, we will give you reasonable notice so you can export your data.
Complaints and governing law
If something goes wrong, contact us first at the address below and we will respond within 30 days. You can also contact the consumer protection agency in your state or territory, or the ACCC. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Nothing in them limits your right to bring a claim where the law allows.
Other terms
Transfer: we may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another company that takes over Dayzy, as long as your rights are not reduced; you cannot transfer these terms to someone else. If a court finds any part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, that part is removed and the rest continues to apply. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, and we will tell you about them where we can. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
