Dayzy Privacy Policy
Updated 2026-11-01
This policy is provided by Swing Labs Group Pty Ltd. Contact: contact@dayzy-app.com.
In short
Your budget stays on your device. Dayzy has no account and no server that receives your budget. We do not sell personal information, show advertising, use third-party analytics or advertising tools, or track you across other apps. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information that stays on your device
Your setup answers, income, bills, expenses, account balances you enter, pots, trips, participant names, images you choose and settings are stored on your device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key protected by Apple Keychain or Android Keystore. We cannot see or access this information. Local profiles created by earlier versions, with a display name, email and a hashed password verifier, also stay on the device. Your confirmation that you are 18 or older, and the date you accepted the Terms of Use and this policy, are kept with your budget.
Device features
Voice entry uses your device’s on-device speech recognition; Dayzy does not send your voice anywhere. Face ID or your device passcode is checked by the operating system; Dayzy only receives a yes or no. Photos you choose for pots or trips are copied into your local budget. Reminders are scheduled on the device and do not show amounts. The optional home-screen widget shows your daily figure only if you turn it on and the app lock is off. Motion data is used only for a visual effect and is not stored. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
What we collect
We collect personal information only in these cases. Support messages: if you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you include. Feedback prepared in the app contains only the text and details shown to you before you send it; your budget is never attached automatically. Subscriptions: purchases are processed by Apple or Google. RevenueCat, our subscription service provider, receives your purchase and subscription status, the store’s transaction information, an anonymous app user identifier, your device type and operating-system version, so the app can confirm your access. We do not receive your payment card details. App Store information: Apple gives us sales reports and, if you have chosen to share them with developers in your device settings, crash reports and app usage statistics that do not identify you.
Exchange rates
To convert other currencies, the app downloads public reference rates from the Frankfurter service. The request contains no budget or personal information. The provider states that it does not log IP addresses or requests.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to give you access to your subscription, answer your questions and complaints, fix problems, and meet our legal obligations. RevenueCat’s dashboard also gives us totals about subscriptions, such as how many people subscribe or cancel, which we use to run the business; it does not identify you. We do not use any information for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent it. Dayzy calculates your daily figure from the numbers you enter. It does not use computer programs to make decisions that could significantly affect your rights or interests.
Who we share it with and where
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Dayzy and who are bound by contract to protect it at least as well as this policy describes: RevenueCat, Inc., which stores subscription data in the United States, and Google, which hosts our email and may store it in the United States and other countries where it operates. Apple and Google process purchases under their own privacy policies. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Information on your device stays until you delete it, reset your budget or remove the app. We keep support emails for up to 24 months after your request is resolved, unless the law requires longer. Subscription records held by RevenueCat are kept while your subscription history is needed for access and accounting, and deleted on request where the law allows.
Your choices and rights
You can view, edit, export or delete your budget in the app at any time, and withdraw a device permission in your device settings. You can ask us for access to, or correction or deletion of, the personal information we hold about you, such as support emails and subscription records, by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity. Making a request is free and does not require a subscription.
Children
Dayzy is only for people aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. The app asks every user to confirm they are 18 or older, and it is rated 18+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has used Dayzy or contacted us, tell us and we will delete the personal information we hold about them.
Security and data breaches
We protect information with encryption on the device, password-protected backups and limited access to our support email. No system is completely secure: use a device passcode, keep your device updated and keep your backup password private. If a data breach involving information we hold is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Questions and complaints
Contact us at the address below. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the OAIC at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this policy in the app and on our website before the change takes effect, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
